Here at Priorswood Primary School our school meals are provided by Edwards and Ward.
“We cook all of our food fresh on the day in our kitchens by trained staff. Popular recipes are adapted to make them as healthy as possible. We actively reduce fats and sugar and NEVER use salt.” Edwards and Ward.
The menu includes at least 3 different fruits and 3 different vegetables each week and it includes a dessert containing at least 50% fruit two or more times a week.
All pupils in Year R and KS1 (Yrs 1&2) are eligible to receive a free lunch. All pupils in KS2 (Yrs 3, 4, 5 and 6) are charged at £2.38 per day, unless you are entitled to Free School Meals. See http://www.somerset.gov.uk/education-learning-and-schools/school-life/free-school-meals/ to check your eligibility.
Meal choices go live on Parent Mail for the following term. Meals should be ordered, with payment as necessary, 10 days in advance to ensure that the kitchen can order the correct amount of ingredients for the week ahead.
